Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University and is the Technical Service Manager at the Marathon Petroleum Corporation Anacortes Refinery. Hugh has 25 years of experience in the petroleum refining industry with locations all around the country. He and his wife are deeply involved in their community, including organizations like Friends of the Forrest, Island Hospital Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County.
Hugh’s passion for hospice is connected to personal experience. In 2018, Hugh’s father became terminally ill. “I am so grateful for the care my father received, as well as the support given to my mother during that difficult time,” said Hugh. “It’s not just caring for the patient. Hospice is a philosophy of care that includes one’s circle of support.”
