Carrie brings over 20 years of marketing and communications experience to her role at Hospice of Northwest. She previously held leadership positions with the Alzheimer’s Association and other nonprofit organizations focused on health-related causes. Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Social Sciences from the University of Washington.
She was inspired to join the team at Hospice of the Northwest because of her family’s experience with hospice care. Carrie’s father had been living with dementia for many years, but was only on hospice for a few days before his death. Her family wishes they had called hospice sooner. “They didn’t just help my dad pass away peacefully, they brought my family a sense of peace too.” Carrie wants to ensure people have access to hospice care earlier in their end-of-life journey so they can take advantage of the care and support it provides for both the patient and their circle of support.
Carrie lives in Coupeville with her husband, Tony, and their two cats, Mitzi and Herschel. She enjoys gardening, scenic drives and spending time at the beach.
