Each dedicated care team includes a Registered Nurse that will visit you wherever you call home. Registered Nurses with Hospice of the Northwest are specially trained for hospice care. This includes developing and implementing your personalized care plan for pain management, integrative therapies, and end-of-life goals.
Hospice of the Northwest Registered Nurses are experienced with the physical challenges faced at the end of life and are a wonderful resource for discussing what to expect during this process.
The Registered Nurse on your dedicated Hospice of the Northwest care team will work with you and your circle of support to:
- Ensure that all the correct medications are available in your home.
- Order the medical equipment and supplies you need to keep you safe and comfortable.
- Provide nursing care in the home, such as wound care and symptom management.
- Provide training to caregivers to keep their loved ones safe and comfortable.
Additionally, there will always be a Registered Nurse available 24/7 by phone for consultations and concerns.
